Give each groomer the same brief
Include your ZIP code, pet species, approximate weight, coat type and the service you want. Describe coat condition and handling needs honestly. Ask whether photos would help the provider prepare a quote.
Compare what is actually included
Write down whether each quote includes a bath, haircut, drying, nails and any coat work. Ask about travel, extra time, additional pets and other possible charges. A bath package and a full groom are different purchases.
Clarify changes before the appointment
Ask what could change the price after the groomer sees your pet, and how they will obtain your agreement before doing additional work. Confirm cancellation terms, deposits and payment methods.
Use a simple comparison checklist
For each provider, record the total quoted price, included services, possible extras, service format, appointment window and cancellation terms. Keep the written confirmation so you can refer to it later.
